Paul P Murphy is an OSINT reporter based in New York with well over a decade of reporting experience. He covers the intersection of breaking news, open-source intelligence reporting (OSINT), satellite imaging and public records reporting.

He spent 12 years at CNN and while there, cultivated relationships with satellite imaging companies, which contributed to CNN’s coverage of big stories around the world. He, along with two others at CNN, started OSINT reporting at the network.

Murphy has reporting on countless important stories ranging his exclusive reporting on the disinformation and the 2024 election, Chinese military blimp investigation, Israel-Hamas conflict and Russia-Ukraine war.

That work won several awards, including multiple Emmys and Emmy nominations, a DuPont award and multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards.
